Multimedia Explored!
I have just found a marvelous new piece of multimedia software that is destined for inclusion with Gershwin’s Rhapsody. I was already excited about this book, but now I can take it to a whole new level.
Imagine being able to listen to the Gershwin’s original piano roll recording of Rhapsody in Blue while at the same time viewing the original synchronized real-time fully annotated score. Well, that is exactly what I am working toward and it looks very very promising.
This will probably be the last blog post for this year.
Have a great holiday season!

Research in Progress
It is hard to know when a research project such as this actually began. I began listening to Rhapsody in Blue about 40 years ago. It immediately became one of my favorite works, and then very quickly turned into an obsession.
So the groundwork and listening phase of the research has occurred over several decades, but the earnest research—the substantial dissection and analysis—did not begin until 2009.
Now, I am seeing a clear path to the final product. Although new things surface almost daily, and there is still plenty of room for changes, the form and function are in place.
The goal is to provide a insight into Rhapsody in Blue that Gershwin himself would be proud of, and a tool that be treasured by anyone who wants to explore the depths of this musical masterpiece.
Details coming soon...
